Booking town council bulky-item removal starts with a short list: which block, which items and how they get out. Find the council serving your block, send the details and wait for the appointment. Move the furniture only when you know where and when the council wants it.
This is the booking directory. For the choice between council and private pickup, use our comparison guide. Living in a condo? Start with management and the condo checklist.
Got the photos? Send them with your floor and lift access for a fixed quote.
Get my priceWhat to have ready
- Your block, unit and contact details.
- A list of every item, with dimensions and any glass or fixed parts.
- Photos of the items and exit route, if the booking channel accepts them.
- Your floor, lift access and any dismantling needed.
- Your preferred date and how flexible you can be.
Ask who carries the items out and whether dismantling is included. Aljunied-Hougang's terms, for example, exclude entering homes and dismantling furniture. Read your own council's instructions before getting the flat ready.
Save the appointment reference with the accepted item list. Added a cabinet? Found that the wardrobe is built-in? Update the request. For a mattress, the lift measurement guide shows which dimensions and route photos to send.

Once the request is in
Look for the confirmed date and accepted items. If you have only an automated acknowledgement, follow up through the council's listed contact channel. Put the appointment in your calendar and tell anybody helping with the clear-out what is going.
Keep the furniture inside until the council's instructions call for moving it. Follow the exact location and timing for your block, and leave the route clear. Extra bags, loose parts or furniture need to go onto the request first.
Changed item, changed plan. If the wardrobe needs dismantling or the mattress will not fit the lift, tell the council before carrying it out. Get the revised job agreed while everything is still inside.
Item list, photos, floor and lift access — get the whole job quoted before booking.

Ask what rules the job out: the item, dismantling, access, volume or timing. Give that detail to the next collector. Describe the original item even if it has been taken apart.
For usable furniture, look for a donation recipient or buyer. For appliances, check e-waste collection or retailer take-back. Our guide to every disposal option covers the routes. For private collection, send the same item list and access photos for a fixed quote.
